Register Your Pet

Registering your pet is a crucial step in ensuring their safety and well-being. When your pet is registered, their information is added to a database that can be accessed by animal control officers, veterinarians, and shelters. This means that if your pet becomes lost or is found injured, there's a higher chance of them being reunited with you quickly.

Here's why registering your pet is so important:

  • Lost pet recovery: If your pet gets lost, a registered pet can be easily identified and returned to you.

  • Emergency contact information: Your registration details provide vital information, such as your contact number and address, in case of an emergency.

  • Disease tracking: Pet registration helps track the spread of diseases, allowing for timely interventions and prevention measures.

  • Community safety: Registered pets contribute to a safer community by helping to identify stray or aggressive animals.

To register your pet, please visit Town Hall in person. You'll need to provide your pet's current rabies vaccination records. There's a fee of $4 per pet. Once your pet is registered, you'll receive a tag that must be worn on their collar.

By taking this simple step, you're helping to protect your furry friend and contribute to a safer community for all.
